This open porch was built in November 2013 located in Regents Park, Southampton
This was one of 3 jobs we had to carry out for the family. He had noticed us building an extension in the road they lived in 1 year previous. The 3 jobs were stripping and re-rendering a bay window, re-pointing some brickwork and replacement of the current porch for this open porch.
As the existing porch was removed it became clear that hidden behind was damage to the brickwork which we later on replaced.
The porch had a slate roof covering, timber structure (with any exposed parts painted) and plastic clad.
We stripped back to the brickwork on the bay and rendered then pebbledashed. After we painted it with masonry paint.
Bricks were replaced with imperials and pointing was both done in bucket handle style and weather struck.
